The main hall at Oasis Camp

Our story

60 years of building relationships

Founded in 1965, Oasis Camp remains committed to a positive, enriching camping experience grounded in Christian values.

How it started

Oasis Camp was established in 1965 by members of the Reform Churches of Australia — now the Christian Reform Church Australia — with a simple idea: create an "oasis" where people could build relationships with each other and with God, away from the stresses and distractions of everyday life. That founding purpose still shapes everything we do, six decades on.

In 1990, the camp moved to an incorporated structure governed by a board, a model that continues today and keeps our mission accountable to the community we serve.

What we're about

We're committed to providing a positive and enriching camping experience incorporating Christian values and ethics. That means investing in staff, facilities and programs that help every group — school, church, corporate or community — leave with stronger relationships than they arrived with.
